John B. Cobb Jr. (born 1925) is an American philosopher of the Contemporary era, associated with Process Philosophy and Christian Philosophy.

John B. Cobb Jr. is an American Process philosopher and theologian, professor emeritus at the Claremont School of Theology, and one of the leading living interpreters of Alfred North Whitehead's process metaphysics. With David Ray Griffin he co-founded the Center for Process Studies in 1973, while his Christ in a Pluralistic Age, Process Theology with Griffin, and For the Common Good with Herman Daly applied process thought to Christology, interreligious dialogue, and ecological economics. His more than fifty books and his role as the principal living elder of the process tradition have made him the central American figure of the Whiteheadian inheritance.
